This is a heart-touching poem by a mother who lost her son in a war fighting for his country!
I'll be there with you mom said my son in daylight,
But his promise was broken when his dead body was brought in the night.
I cried for my soldier,who saved people's life,
Who did not care for his parents,children and wife.
I am proud of my Hero, to whom i gave birth,
But he fought and died for his Mother Earth.
I gave him my teachings which did not go vain,
But he gifted me with sorrow and cureless pain.
Oh! Cruel God why did you call my son into the skies?
Can't you see floods of tears and anger in my eyes?
Love him when he feels angry,
and feed him whenever he feels hungry.
Oh! God in heaven give him a piece of land,
and whenever he feels lonely, hold his hand !
This poem is dedicated to all those mothers who lost their son fighting for their nation! *
